Akshay Kumar Yadav and Simran Bansal.

Akshay Kumar Yadav

Co-founder & Managing Director

Akshay Kumar Yadav is an AI and LLM engineer, the co-founder and Managing Director of Run AI Intelligence, and Co-founder and CTO of The Astro Nova, where he architected its LLM-powered AI engine.

He has 10+ years in technology, since his first internship in 2016. A computer-science engineer (B.Tech, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, 2018), he began at GlobalLogic curating machine-learning training data for Google Lens in its early years. He then took machine learning into business, from Covid-19 outbreak prediction at a Noida start-up to a market-trend model at a stock-broking firm.

At BDO in Bengaluru he investigated fraud for US banks, an airline and an automobile manufacturer, and brought LLMs and generative AI into his team's investigations. With the firm's onshore team, he built a fraud-detection proof of concept that helped win a key client.

He was a runner-up at TechGig Code Gladiators 2017, which set the Guinness World Record for the largest programming competition. He holds a data science specialisation, and a certification in data science and AI from Intellipaat, run with IIT Madras.

Simran Bansal

Chief Executive Officer & Founder

Simran Bansal is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Run AI Intelligence and of The Astro Nova. She sets the direction of both and leads strategy, product and operations.

Her route into AI ran through operations. After a programme in hospitality management and leadership, with industrial training in Bangkok, she trained at The Oberoi, New Delhi, using data to sharpen sales and revenue reporting. At Monsoon Agrochemicals, a crop-protection manufacturer, she rebuilt its reporting on a structured database and gave management live dashboards. Her analysis flagged low-demand products for review and exposed sales schemes that cost more than they returned. She went on to serve as CEO and a director of Monsoon Agrochemicals and its sister company, Oswal Crop Protection.

She holds a Bachelor of Computer Applications and an advanced certification in data science and AI from Intellipaat, run with IIT Madras. In 2025 she also worked on AI training data through Turing.
